Happy Happy Friday! I’m looking forward to a low key yet productive weekend.
I was surfing the internet for a question based blog to write and came across an interview yourself set of questions. So here it goes!
What do you do for a living? Mother to my daughter, soon to be daughters and group fitness instructor.
Who do you love? My family of course, my husband, daughters and my close friends. And my dog Cody.
Do you have enough money? Yes, we are fortunate. But of course more would be nice but its not necessary
Are you healthy? I don’t have any major illnesses or disease and I am able to do the physical things I want to everyday. But health is a journey not a destination. It’s something I work at everyday in the hopes to extend my life as long as I can.
How old are you? Old enough to be married with two kids and looking forward to what’s yet to come.
Who is your best friend? Of course it’s the person I’ve chosen to spend the rest of my life with. And there’s this girl, Missy or wait, she’s all grown up now, Melissa. She’s been putting up with me since 1991 and now we live 6 miles apart. Couldn’t be more perfect.
What’s you childhood dream? I honestly don’t remember but I do remember wanting to be a trainer of killer whales at Sea World.
How often do you laugh? Every single day without fail. I guess that’s because I have a pistol of a two year old and a kid-like husband to entertain me. Like the other night, I was laughing so much I almost cried (don’t you love those moments). We just got a new rug and Corrine was exploring on it. Out of nowhere she started doing forward somersaults all over it. And she’s never done one before! She was so proud of herself!
Name 10 things that makes you smile?
- Everyday when Dave gets home from work and Corrine runs to him yelling daddy! Almost brings me to tears its so cute.
- Whenever I check the baby monitor and find her sleeping soundly.
- Sitting down to a home cooked meal as a family
- Seeing Corrine play with her grandparents
- Finishing a hard run or race
- A clean kitchen (doesn’t happen all that often unless my mom is over baby sitting)
- A full BodyPump, BodyFlow, RPM or BodyCombat class
- A stocked fridge full of fruits, veggies and cheeses
- When Dave tries to dance especially if he’s had a few too many
- A full Margarita glass on a hot summer day (I will have one as soon as this baby comes!)
Where do you live? In the show me state.
Do you think you’re strong? Hell yea! Both physically (I’ve got the guns to prove it) and mentally. I’ve been in lots of situations to prove this strength. Running a marathon in 90 degree heat and not quitting! Weight training and teaching BodyPump at 38 weeks pregnant and still lifting what I normally do, teaching RPM as well. Mentally tough to go through a long distance marriage for 10 months while I was living with my parents (It wasn’t that bad, mom 🙂 )
What’s your go-to breakfast? Usually some kind of toast with butter, a side of fruit and a cheese stick with a small glass of milk.
Go-to snack? If I’m at home, some kind of smoothie. On the go, applesauce pouches or a granola bar
What’s one thing you can’t go a day without doing? There’s lots of things! Eating breakfast, watching old videos of Corrine on my cell phone (I do that right before I go to bed every night), and kissing Dave and Corrine.
What’s the BEST thing that could happen to you right now? Child birth. I’m over this pregnancy and anxious to meet this little one.
What are your pet peeves? Talking on cell phones at the gym. If you can talk, you’re not working hard enough, people that complain about something but aren’t willing to make a change, and people that make quick decisions based on popular opinion yet don’t take the time to make an informed decision on their own.
What are you most proud of? Two things. First, being brave enough to admit I wasn’t happy in grad school and doing something about it. Losing the weight and making a difficult career change. Second, of course my family. They make me extremely happy.
What’s on your ipod right now? The only thing that’s ever on my ipod is the soundtracks to my classes I teach. Right now I’m listening to RPM 67. Music motivates me. I guess that’s why I’m so dedicated to Les Mills. They do a phenomenal job picking out music that brings out the fight in me and inspires me to work hard.
Where was the last place you went? A morning trip to Target and I only spent $18! I think that’s because Corrine was fussing and I was tired of hearing her whine for everything at her eye level. So we left!
What are you looking forward to the most? Dave coming home today (with my Friday doughnut treat) and starting the weekend! And further out, I’m looking forward to meeting this little baby currently kicking me in the ribs. She’s got to look like me right? Corrine is the spitting image of Dave since day 1!
And that’s all for today. Hope you all have a great weekend. I’m tackling finishing the reading nook and baby’s nursery with hopes that if it’s finished, little miss will feel ready to evacuate the womb 🙂
