Happy Monday! Joelle is 4 months today. She’s currently enjoying herself snoozin away in her crib for her afternoon nap. Sweet little Joelle-belle, at least that’s what I call her. Or my little Jo Jo. Or pumpkin-poo. I’m writing this all down just to preserve some details of her babyhood.
We won’t know how much she weighs or length until after Wednesday when she goes for her 4 month check up. But she recently graduated from 3 month clothes to 6 month clothes (tear 🙁 ). Going through all her hand-me-down clothes from Corrine brings back good memories from when she was this age. But these two kiddos are very different. Corrine wasn’t laughing or smiling yet Joelle has been doing both for more than a month now. Dave was the first to get her giggling, I guess daddy is funny lookin.
This comparison doesn’t really get at how different they are. Corrine was a little more chunky ( 🙂 ) and Joelle is a little more petite.
Joelle has recently found her feet and she’s fascinated by them but only if they are her bare feet. She doesn’t play with them if she’s wearing a sleeper or socks.
Joelle is different from Corrine in that nursing doesn’t usually put her to sleep. She needs a burp and then some gentle rocking and walking in the bathroom with the exhaust fan on. In fact, I’ve had to do that twice in the span on writing this post to get her back to sleep. Needy baby. But it’s so sweet to watch her doze off to sleep. Sometimes she even sleeps with her eyes slightly open.
She’s got some great expressions. I caught a few this morning while taking her 4 month photos.
She was talking to her pink doggie 🙂 Speaking of toys, she loves her fish toy that her Auntie Rachel got her. She loves to talk to it too.
We had a few visitors from the 100 acre wood this past Halloween.
