Joelle is 7 months! She’s 15 lbs and not sure how much taller she’s grown this month. Almost over night, she’s transformed into a roly poly baby. I can put her down and glance away for a second, then she’s rolled completely across the room! Obviously, she’s a great roller which is currently her most efficient mode of movement. But I’m sure it won’t be long before she’s cruising on all fours. She’s trying her best to get up on her knees but hasn’t mastered it yet. It’s only a matter of time before she’s really mobile.
She’s still my little squirt compared to her sister at 7 months. Corrine had over 5lbs more on her body compared to Joelle. Yet, Corrine wasn’t as efficient at rolling as Joelle is. So I guess it’s easy to move when you’re a little squirt.
This month has been a pretty low key month with not alot of milestones or big events with the exception of Sesame Street Live! This was mainly for big sis because she adores Sesame Street, especially Elmo (see my post about her Sesame Street 2nd birthday here). Surprisingly, Joelle loved it too! She was attentive and so intrigued with the music and colors. Lots of stuff to look at. And it didn’t matter if she was looking toward the stage. She was just as happy watching all the other kids and parents around us.
Joelle is definitely working on getting those bottom two teeth. She used to sleep through the night and now, that is a thing of the past. She’s waking up at least 2 or 3 times a night and has a very hard time getting back to sleep. So hopefully, these pesky teeth will erupt soon and relieve her of some misery and allow all of us to get a full nights rest again.
She’s eating up a storm! This girl loves to eat. Doesn’t really matter what I feed her, she’ll eat it with the exception of Beech Nut pureed chicken. Not a fan. But Gerber turkey and rice she likes. I’m working on giving her a chance to experience her food not only by tasting it but feeling it. So even though it’s still pureed, I usually give her a few dabs on her tray to play in. And sometimes, it does make it to her mouth and not just all over herself.
Joelle is a self supported sitter now! Yay! I can sit her down and I don’t have to be right by her side as her spotter. This makes taking her monthly pictures so much easier. What else. She’s a babbler. She loves to blow raspberries.
Here are some more cute pics from her latest photo set.
